Monterosso al Mare is an ancient sea village situated on the eastern side of the Ligurian Riviera, between the tip of the Punta Mesco and the island of Tinetto. It si the best equiped village for tourists in the whole Cinque Terre. The hotels and guest houses offer warm and friendly hospitality and the restaurants provide typical dishes of the ligurian coast. You can taste also the famous wine of the Cinque Terre sung by Petrarca.
Monterosso al Mare is surrounded by winetard and olive trees. The splendid beaches, the magnificent sheer cliffs and the crystal clear sea make Monterosso al Mare the most charming village of the Riviera.
Nelle Cinque Terre il mare, le colline, i vigneti, gli antichi borghi di pescatori, le chiese di stile genovese dischiudono paesaggi incantevoli.
Tra Riomaggiore e Manarola, tagliata nella roccia, la Via dell'Amore.
Sulle colline una passeggiata pittoresca unisce i santuari posti in uno scenario di favola sopra i paesi a picco sul mare: spettacolare è l'itinerario attraverso i sentieri nel verde.
Caratteristica unica sono i vigneti pensili sostenuti dai muretti a secco, stupendo esempio di architettura-paesaggio creata dall'uomo in una natura impervia.
Tutta la zona delle Cinque Terre fino a Porto Venere è Parco Naturale e Marino con flora e fauna rara e protetta.
Sentieri panoramici e ben individuati dal C.A.I. sono frequentati da appassionati del trekking. Alcuni tratti sono percorribili a cavallo e mountain bike.
